Prof. Dr. Isa Durmaz

Prof. Dr. Isa Durmaz began his medical career by graduating from the Aegean University Faculty of Medicine in 1969 and completed his residency in general surgery there. He received specialized training in cardiovascular surgery in the United Kingdom in 1977, and specialized in this field at Aegean University in 1979. He held prominent academic and leadership positions, most notably chairing the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at Aegean University, in addition to working in several private hospitals until 2023. He has held important administrative positions such as the presidency of the Turkish Society of Cardiovascular Surgery and membership of the councils of private universities. His medical interests include heart valve surgery, coronary artery surgery, and peripheral artery surgeries such as carotid artery, aneurysms, and varicose veins.
