ASS.Prof. Dr. Ali Zirh

Assistant Professor Ali Zirh is a world-renowned neurosurgeon, born on October 8, 1960 in Ankara, Turkey. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1983 and started his specialization in neurosurgery at Marmara University. He has more than 30 years of experience in functional neurosurgery and has performed more than 1800 operations for patients with Parkinson’s and movement disorders, including more than 1300 DBS operations. He is a member of several international neurosurgical societies such as the European Neurosurgical Society and the American Pain Society. Dr. Ali Zerah is considered one of the pioneers in movement disorder surgery in Turkey and the neighboring region.
