Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Duygu Kaya Yertutano

Assistant Professor Dr. Fatma Duygu Kaya was born in 1981 in Istanbul and graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2005, then specialized in psychiatry in 2010. She completed her PhD in neuroscience in 2017 with a thesis on the effect of gabapentin on sleep-deprived rats. She has research in schizophrenia, addiction, and psychopharmacology, and has participated in research projects on modeling psychiatric diseases in animals. She is a member of several scientific societies and editorial boards of medical journals, and has received local and international research awards. She is fluent in English and is married.
