Prof.dr. Kemal Nevzat Tarhan

Prof. Dr. Kemal Nevzat Tarhan, born in Merzifon in 1952, is a prominent psychiatrist and founder of Uskudar University and NPISTANBUL Hospital. He graduated from Istanbul University – Jarrah Pasha Faculty of Medicine in 1975 and specialized in psychiatry, where he held senior academic and military positions, including professor at GATA Haydarpasha. He authored more than 100 books and published about 300 scientific papers with 6,000 scientific citations. He is known for his fusion of science and faith, addressing the meaning of life, religion, spiritual psychology, and human existence in his writings. He is married with two children and speaks English and German. Dr. Tarhan has donated all his assets to establish a university and research institutions to train future scientists.
